Career opportunities
Since 2012, RWE has been running an NVQ Level 3 Wind Turbine Technician apprenticeship.
It has been specially designed to train candidates to a high level that meets the needs of the growing offshore wind industry.
It is a three-year course fully supported by RWE comprising two years in college at a national apprenticeship hub in North Wales, followed by a full year of hands-on training at one of our offshore wind farms.
View apprenticeshipIn partnership with Springpod, RWE has also developed an Offshore Wind Virtual Work Experience programme, which is free and available on demand to anyone over 13 years of age. If you are interested in a career in the renewable energy sector it is an excellent way to investigate a variety of career options and discover valuable pathways into this dynamic industry.
Available opportunities
Apprentices graduating through the programme typically go on to work on RWE projects in the northeast like Sofia, Triton Knoll and ultimately DBS, with other RWE projects or within other offshore wind companies in the UK.
If you are in education, an experienced professional or ex-armed forces and looking to get involved in renewable energy, take a look at the career opportunities available at RWE and Masdar.
